Making money through mobile toilets in port harcourt

I was listening to Wazobia fm 94.1 this morning when they were having a talk on people urinating on the streets of port Harcourt. Now that’s a bad one, I wonder if people don’t know the smell of urine can chase people away from their homes. In this case I can imagine the men being more of the offenders than the female and you know why? (that’s the only thing men claim they can do better than women). I see a lot of guys especially in the diobu axis of Port Harcourt urinating on the street publicly without shame.

Now Rivers State Government has placed a law that anyone seen urinating on the street, will either
  • Pay a fine of N10,000
  •
  • Go to prison for 1month
  •
  • Do a community service work or
  •
  • Do either of the two.
So, no matter how pressed you feel on the road, hold it until you get to somewhere more comfortable to let it out.

Spokesman of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency Mr. Olalekhan Ige said while on Wazobia fm this morning that a lot of people are complaining that the government is doing nothing about creating public toilet for the people. He said the Government cannot do everything for the people, there are some things people can do to help themselves and the public and that’s why RIWAMA is saying this is a business opportunity for people in the state to key into.  People should come up and make provisions for mobile toilets where people can urinate on the street and even poo for a price which can be N20 or N50.

Mr. Olalekhan said it is a very profitable business and people can make as much as N2,000  a day and N60,000 a month from one toilet. (me am really having a thought on this line of business. Heheehee). Interested persons should contact the RIWAMA office @Mile 4 to get their locations approved.
He also said any individual found guilty of throwing waste into the gutters will pay a fine of N50,000 and N500,000 for corperate bodies or be locked up in prison for one month.

So people if there’s anyone polluting your environment and you’ve talked and talked but still no improvement, contact the RIWAMA office on 08138443878 or 08052905758.
Lets try and keep our city clean. #teamkeepportharcourtclean#
